If you’re looking to lose weight and get in the best shape of your life, how do you do it? Do you go to a gym? Get a personal trainer? Crossfit? Yoga? There are so many options to choose from, but one of the most successful workout, weight loss, and fitness programs comes from the people at Beachbody.
Beachbody is the company behind many popular and successful workouts like p90x, Insanity, T25, and many others. They also have a large amount of health and fitness supplements like their popular Shakeology meal replacement drink.
The reason their workouts and supplements are so successful is simple. These products simply work, and they are changing peoples lives.
Their most popular workout series is p90x, but over the years, Beachbody has simplified their workouts yet somehow made them even more effective. For example, the workout p90x is well known for its effectiveness, but the problem for many people is the length of such a workout. Beachbody did some research and realized 1)people do not want workouts that are over 30 minutes, and 2) a well constructed, high intensity workout UNDER 30 minutes can be just as effective as a workout longer than 30 minutes.
Here are some of their most recent programs and why the are so effective:
T25 is a 25 minute workout created by Beachbody trainer Shaun T. There are several workouts included that are each 25 minutes. The reason they work is because there is no rest for the whole workout and each workout is very high intensity. The high intensity workout for 25 minutes straight allows the heartrate to stay elevated and burn more calories.
In addition to high intensity cardio, this workout incorporates high intensity weight training. There are a few workouts that use light to medium weight dumbells in compound movements to help build muscle and burn fat.
If you want to get the most out of this workout its important to keep good, clean nutrition. Make sure to eat plenty of vegetables, protein, and stay hydrated. A good supplement will help ensure proper nutrition and good results. A meal replacement or protein powder is always a good option, and Beachbody has a quality meal replacement in Shakeology. P90x introduced a transformation in home fitness. For the first time you could do a very challenging, dynamic, and very effective fitness program in the comfort of your own home. Certainly there have been other home fitness programs, but nothing that matched the intensity of p90x. Created by Beachbody and Tony Horton, this program contains several high intensity workouts that provide unique challenges. The cardio workout is not simple cardio. Its a high intensity plyometric series of exercises that has your muscles burning and lungs gasping for air. However, when you finish, it will give you a natural high for all you’ve accomplished as well as a tremendous workout. Its best to take a post workout supplement like shakeology to ensure muscle recovery after this tough workout.
Additionally, there are different workouts like core synergistics. A fun, dynamic workout that combines cardio, strength training, and even yoga into a unique and effective workout. Again, maintaining proper nutrition is very important with this workout and the entire program in general. We recommend Beachbody supplements for proper nutrition and shakeology is a great meal replacement. Check out this page for a quality shakeology review.
22 Minute Hard Corps
Another great workout program by Beachbody is 22 minute Hard Corps. Set to a military-style background. This program features quick, 22 minute workouts with a combination of both cardio and resistance movements that stimulate your body to lose fat and gain muscle in a short amount of time.
The key to this program is its simplicity. There are only 6 basic workouts: cardio 1-3 and resistance 1-3. Additionally, there are two ab/core workouts and the option to purchase 3 more advanced workouts. However, the basic 6 workouts are sufficient to reach your fitness goals.
Cardio 1 and resistance 1 are both basic movements designed to get you started on the program. As you progress through the program the workouts will get more challenging, yet more effective too.
For example, in resistance 1, Tony Horton uses basic movements like push ups and pulls ups for strength training. However, by resistance 3, he has you doing compound movements like lunges with overhead shoulder presses. Again, the movements get more complicated, but your results get faster too. Check out for a thorough review of this progam, including the workout schedule, results, meal plan, and pros/con.
